Policy

The EPFL encourages the creation of companies wishing to develop and commercialise technologies resulting from research carried out at the EPFL.

The use of these technologies requires the signing of an agreement between the EPFL and the start-up.

These agreements are negotiated individually. When the technology in question is the object of one or several patents (or patent applications), the type of contract most commonly used is the exclusive licence, granted in the start-up's area of activity. For agreements concerning software, non-exclusive licences are generally used.

If you need any informations please contact the SRI
